Andrew Lockwood started Learning With Lockwood in the spring 2018 with a mere four students. It was a business borne out of an overflow of his lifelong passion for learning. 

As a K-12 home school student himself, he saw firsthand how challenging it can be for parents to meet their students' diversified and increasingly specialized educational needs. As a specialist who understands those needs, he knew that he could provide professional academic support within the homeschooling framework.

He also longed to share his personal passion for history and social sciences with his students. History is exciting, moving, and valuable. His goal is to present it in a way that is instructive, exciting, and moving at the same time. 

In 2020, he expanded Learning With Lockwood from soley in-person classes to an online platform that could support home school students across the state of Alaska.  He is grateful for the opportunity to share his passion for history with you and your students.
